7 Skin Care Tips for a Glowing Healthy Skin

We all dream of healthy flawless skin. But with the constant arrival of new beauty products to the market, it is doubtful to choose which product best suits your skin. In fact, it is of utmost importance to get a correct knowledge of what your skin type is, and to choose the most suitable product which works best for you.

Not having time for intensive skin care is a common problem we all face nowadays. But still, you can pamper yourself by following some basic tips which will pave the way for flawless glowing skin within a very short time.

Avoid Sunlight and Direct Heat Exposure as much as possible.

Not only the direct exposure to sunlight, heaters, and fireplaces also make a huge impact on your skin. It may cause inflammation and collagen breakdown. Also, sunlight is responsible for fine lines, age spots, and wrinkles which make your skin look older. Plus, it increases the risk of skin cancer. So it is better to use a sunscreen with 30 SPF whenever you go out.

Eat healthily.

Maintaining a healthy balanced diet is always good for your health and for your skin. Try to eat plenty of fruits rich in Vitamin C (Vitamin C rejuvenates your skin), vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins.

Stay hydrated inside and out.

Every skin expert emphasises the importance of hydration to get rid of sagging and dryness and to improve the radiance of the skin. Drink plenty of water, around 8 glasses a day, to keep your skin hydrated and moisturised. In addition to that, try to use products that contain hydrating formulas (moisturiser, cleanser, anti-aging products, primer etc.).

Don’t use too many products.

Do not layer too many products on your skin. Applying too many products is harsh to your skin and will clog your pores and breakout the skin. Plus, it’s a total waste of product and your money as the skin will not be able to absorb it all anyway.

Exfoliate your skin.

Exfoliation is an essential step in any skincare routine. Exfoliation effectively cleanses your pores and remove dead skin cells while rejuvenating your skin and enhancing the radiance. Try to exfoliate your skin two times or three times a week to avoid over-exfoliation.

Remove your makeup before hitting the bed.

Make sure you remove all your makeup before going to sleep. The skin needs to breathe overnight, and leaving your makeup on will prevent your skin from breathing while clogging the pores, which may cause blemishes and blackheads. It is ideal to use a makeup remover, but if you do not possess a makeup remover use olive oil or coconut oil as a substitute. Put some oil on a cotton pad and gently rub it on your skin and remove all the makeup and dirt. Then, double cleanse your face, apply a toner and a moisturizing cream to keep your skin hydrated throughout the night.

Take enough sleep.

The human body boosts blood flow to the skin while you are sleeping which means you wake up with a glowing complexion. If you don’t get enough sleep there are more chances to have dark circles and eye bags under your eyes. In addition to that, our skin makes new collagen while we are asleep. This is a process of repairing which prevents sagging of the skin. More collagen means fewer wrinkles. The key is to get at least 8 hours of sleep each night.
